The LAMP:bit has connections that allow the micro:bit to be directly screwed or clamped in place. It is designed to replicate a street lamp, both in form and function. This is a great board for use in transport projects and is designed to have the same aesthetic as the STOP:bit, so they can be used together in the same projects.

The board also includes a phototransistor that can be used to respond to changes in ambient light levels, allowing the white LED to switch on and off autonomously. For time-controlled switching, the project may include the Kitronik RTC board for another type of autonomy.

The power is supplied to the board from the micro:bit, which is connected to the board via the 0V and 3V pins.
